This project faced several challenges–an existing pavilion which was required to be part of the new plan, slope issues of the property, nearby neighbors desiring privacy, a limited budget, and the additional challenge of creating a place all residents–young and old, single and families–could enjoy.
The Haygood WOW! factor is the rain curtain feature at the pool trellis. It provides visual interest as well as the sound of a soothing waterfall which also helps to drown out noise from those enjoying the pool.

The goal in designing this resort pool area was to cater to the needs of all of the guests from young to old, small to large crowds, providing spaces that everyone can call their own and using the natural environment to its greatest potential.
The scale and treatment of the landscape only intensifies the luxuriousness of this grand home. This house is so beautiful but without the proper driveway alignment and landscape treatment, it could be imposing and perhaps uncomfortable to approach.
The owners of an existing lakefront home decided they wanted to add a pool and spa. In order to maintain flexibility for the use of their backyard space, we nestled the pool into an opening behind the house, leaving enough sod to the side for other uses
